Boxmote - Boxee remote app good for
This app is one of the only ones (if not the only one) that properly allows control of a Boxee Box.
I suggested a new feature to the developer, along with my use case, and he answered me in a matter of hours, with a new version sent to Apple for approval a couple of days later. Now, that is good service!
I use Boxee Hacks and Kontol does not work with it I do not know why. My battery remote is almost dead now and I was desperate for a solution when I found this app. Problem solved! THANK YOU developper!
Some bad moments
Keeps hang up and freezing. Cannot change the IP address. Keep your $$$$
Works perfectly. Does a great job of maintaining IP address connection to the boxee. Can automatically scan for boxee or you can input IP address directly. I actually find using the phone keyboard easier versus the boxee original remote.
This app works perfectly and mimics the small Boxee box remote that originally comes with the unit (yes...the Boxee box that was discontinued not the newer model). This app is better than the original app that was made for the old Boxee box because you can fast forward and rewind at the same speed of the original remote. I do not know if this app works with the new Boxee unit. Thanks for creating this app...I needed it!
After several frustrating hours after my boxee remote stopped working, and after replacing batteries, trouble shooting, and re-pairing with the device nothing worked. Then I found this app, worth the pay! Thank you so much
The app works perfectly on the iPhone. However, the watch can only control the Boxee when the phone app is open. This kinda defeats the point of even having the watch feature since I could just pick up my phone. Perhaps the app needs a background refresh option? If the watch could work independently of the phone, Id definitely give it 5 stars.
It took long time to figure out what to do with my my broken/dead boxee remote control. Problem was solved in 10 second after I had found this app. Thank you for great application.
